Tech Sheet  OctoAir (PDF)   The OctoAir-60 was designed and developed specifically for large scale aeration and industrial de-icing projects. With an air flow rate of up to 75 CFM, 300 feet of ¾” Bubble Tubing® contained in the structure of the OctoAir-60 allows for greater oxygen transfer performance. The diffuser is designed to allow for feeding air into the ¾” Bubble Tubing® from both ends. Applications that require a diffuser of industrial strength, corrosion resistance, easy manoeuvrability, and high efficiency will be well served with the OctoAir-60.   Operation, Maintenance and Safety Compressed air is pushed through airline feeder hose to the OctoAir™ diffuser. Microbubbles are simultaneously released through the microscopic holes along the entire length of Bubble Tubing®. The constant release of fine bubbles allow for a high oxygen transfer rate in water while creating a significant ascending current that moves warmer and denser water upwards against the inner ice above. The OctoAir also modifies the water's density by introducing more air. This reduction in density, due to the regular output of bubbles, produces an optimal warm water circulation and thus helps melt the ice.  In situations in which the OctoAir is already in place, it presents a reliable and efficient prevention of ice accumulation, even in the coldest of temperatures. There are no moving parts in the water, which is very efficient and cost effective. Please check with the authorities to make sure that adding de-icers is authorized in your municipality. The thin ice and open area should be well marked out with a sign to warn people of danger in winter. This is to be done with every type of de-icer and defroster.Cleaning your diffusers:  OctoAirs require Bio-Purge to clean the diffuser once per year, depending on water conditions. The diffuser remains in the water for the duration of the cleaning, as the Bio-Purge is poured into the airline hose from the compressor. Maintenance has never been easier!

  • Seika Ecorator High Performance Aerator-Circulator

The powerful suction and pushing effect of the Ecorator doubles the agitation effect of liquids in tanks and basins. An excellent choice as a pond water circulator. Benefits Oxygen mass transfer is 30% higher than with conventional cylindrical air diffusers. Savings in energy consumption are to be expected. No clogging: The large opening to the emission of air prevents any clogging. Intermittent operation also available. No sediment on the bottom of the tank: The ejection mechanism used in the cylinder body ensures a large passage area for liquids. The Ecorator sucks up a large amount of sludge and liquids which gives the tank sludge agitation effect.High oxygen transfer rate: The air ejection mechanism combines the venturi effect while cutting the mass of air into fine bubbles. In addition, the powerful suction effect further fractures the continuously circulating air bubbles.Effects of reduced power consumption: The risk of pressure damage and the diffuser's high oxygenation capacity combine to reduce the impact on the blower while ensuring operating stability and minimized operating costs .No maintenance required: No clogging, regular cleaning or replacement of parts. Long-term use of the Ecorator is possible without any decrease in initial performance.Installation: Easy installation even in the presence of liquid compared to a competitive circulator where the basins must be drained.   Testimonial -  See what one client had to say regarding the Ecorator : Click here    Technical specifications The SEIKA Ecorator high performance air diffuser technology is ideal for: Mixing liquids with a high solids content; Sanitation of municipal or industrial wastewater in hot or cold climates; Reduced operating and equipment costs thanks to a simple, no-clogging design; Upgrading existing conventional treatment systems at a competitive cost; The meeting of treatment objectives relating to effluents, regardless of the conditions; Tech Sheet (PDF)  Video  See the video below to see the Ecorator in action!

  • Piccolo Air Diffuser

Our expertise in aeration comes from our many years of experience in the field of air diffusion technologies. This small diffuser requires little pressure to operate. We are the only retailer in Canada to offer the Piccolo diffuser. Benefits The piccolo is a small diffuser requiring little pressure to operate. It can be placed at different depths depending on the need, ideal for small ponds with little depth or with various depths. Here are the advantages seen when using bottom aeration: Circulation of the entire water column in relation to the depth of the diffuser and the volume of air injected; Elimination of thermal stratification (generally prohibited in the case of natural trout lakes); Increase in dissolved oxygen levels, which stimulates the natural aerobic digestion process, thus reducing the thickness of organic silt and the accumulation of sediment; Prevents fish kills during winter by increasing the oxygen available in their habitat; Reduces mosquito populations; Eliminates foul odors from unwanted gases; Reduces organic bottom sediments by avoiding sediment anoxia; Sequestration of phosphorus in sediments; Preservation of a healthy aquatic ecosystem. Technical Specifications This small diffuser is used in our SAS, Mini-Air and CanadianAir aeration systems. It is very suitable for ponds that are rather round or tank-shaped. Diffuser Type: Ballasted diffuser base using a porous pipe as the diffusion medium. • EPDM Membrane Disc Diffuser

Our expertise in aeration comes from our many years of experience in the field of air diffusion technologies. EPDM membrane disc diffusers are replacement parts for vertex diffusers. Benefits EPDM discs are replacement parts for vertex diffusers. We recommend, however, that you look into the alternative of changing all your diffusers to Piccolos or Robust-Air as they are much more reliable over time. Technical Specifications Each of these durable EPDM diaphragm discs is composed of over 1,000 small perforations that release microbubbles when the compressor pressure tensions the diaphragm. The flexible membrane is automatically cleaned by the micro pulses produced by the compressor that feeds it (not included). The disc never clogs, even at the bottom of the muddiest lakes. Salty, hard, or muddy water is not a problem with this high-performance diffusion disc. Most of the fine bubbles released by this disc are no larger than 0.5 to 1.0 millimeters in diameter. The principle of fine bubbles is of paramount importance for several reasons: they offer a large air/water exchange surface for better oxygen diffusion; they rise very slowly to the surface and stay longer in the water than large bubbles and finally they produce a more intense water movement. These discs are perfect to be added to existing systems. You will be surprised how your old compressor will run more smoothly while consuming less energy for more air injected into the water. Ideal diffusion system for ponds or lakes that have very steep slopes or very deep-water bodies. Diffuser Type: 7'' or 9'' round disc, depending on the choice, working with a flexible EPDM membrane. CFM: 0.5 - 3 cfm for 7" disks, 0.5 - 6 cfm for 9" disks Bubble size: Fine Minimum pressure: 0.5 to 0.6 psi Price: Buy online or contact us.

  • Robust-Air Diffuser

Our expertise in aeration comes from our many years of experience in the field of air diffusion technologies. This diffuser is ideal for ponds of various depths. Benefits The Robust-Air is a low pressure diffuser. Ideal for ponds with one or two deep spots. Allows you to aerate a fairly circular area. It is most effective when covering a small area and becomes less effective as the area gets larger. Technical Specifications Kasco diffusers are designed to produce fine air bubbles with minimal pressure. The base of the Robust-Aire diffuser is made of stainless steel. Its design keeps the diffuser at an optimal level above the pond bottom. The fittings are durable and bolted to ensure that the weighted hose does not come loose during installation or maintenance of the diffuser. A non-return valve with Viton seals prevents water from entering the pipe when the system is not in operation. Diffuser Type: Ballasted diffuser base using a porous pipe as the diffusion medium. CFM: 1 to 3.5 Bubble size: Medium to fine Minimum pressure: No restrictions Price: Buy online or contact us. Robust-Aire Diffuser Manual Assembly (PDF)

  • Kasco Marine Rocking Piston Compressors

Compressors for aeration in Lakes and Ponds.  Benefits Aeration helps reduce sludge, degassing ammonia and methane, and removing CO2 from treated water. Aeration has also been shown to improve oxidation and clarify water in settling and discharge basins to meet effluent standards. CanadianPond.ca offers you a wide selection of compressors for aeration. Since aeration technologies are constantly evolving, it has become possible to make energy-efficient choices while avoiding compromises. If you want to buy these compressors online, please make sure you know what is included and what isn't with the compressor.  Online sales are typically for people with a basic knowledge of these compressors. We also strongly recommend clients purchase a compressor cabinet from us versus rigging up a home made alternative. Our cabinets are safe, well ventilated, secure, and provide noise reduction.  Contact us if you have any doubts about which model to choose! Technical Specifications Rocking Piston Compressors Twenty years ago, it was rare to see anyone using the rocking piston compressor (also called oscillating piston compressor) for aeration of ponds and lakes. Gradually they became the heart and soul of aquatic aeration systems. Rocking piston compressors operate without oil, are economical, powerful and efficient. They are divided into 2 groups: single piston and double piston compressors. The single piston is ¼HP or ⅓HP, while the double piston is ½ HP or ¾ HP. The air pressure is 25 to 50 psi or 1.72 bar to 3.45 bar. As a general rule of thumb, the more pressure the compressor develops, the less air flow is available. The air flow rate is between 2 and 8 CFM, or 0.06m³-0.23m³ per minute. The common brands are Thomas and Gast, but they can now be found on the market under different names such as: Sweetwater, Brockwood, Matala, Stratus and Tech-Aire reciprocating compressors. They all share the same principle of operation and work perfectly with many types of diffusers. These compressors are sold in Kasco Marine's Robust-Aire systems and are also used in CanadianAir Aeration systems.Piston Compressor Data Sheet (PDF) Tech-Aire owner's manual (PDF)  Warranty : 3 years Warranty is void if: The compressor is not maintained properly according to the maintenance recommendations supplied in this manual.
