EPDM Membrane Disc Diffuser
Our expertise in aeration comes from our many years of experience in the field of air diffusion technologies. EPDM membrane disc diffusers are replacement parts for vertex diffusers. Benefits EPDM discs are replacement parts for vertex diffusers. Technical Specifications Each of these durable EPDM diaphragm discs is composed of over 1,000 small perforations that release microbubbles when the compressor pressure tensions the diaphragm. The flexible membrane is automatically cleaned by the micro pulses produced by the compressor that feeds it (not included). The disc never clogs, even at the bottom of the muddiest lakes. Salty, hard, or muddy water is not a problem with this high-performance diffusion disc. Most of the fine bubbles released by this disc are no larger than 0.5 to 1.0 millimeters in diameter. The principle of fine bubbles is of paramount importance for several reasons: they offer a large air/water exchange surface for better oxygen diffusion; they rise very slowly to the surface and stay longer in the water than large bubbles and finally they produce a more intense water movement. Replacement zinc anode
Sacrificial zinc anodes are mandatory when using a Kasco motor in salted, brackish or highly conductive water. Sold individually. Technical specifications Kasco recommends replacing zinc anodes annually or sooner if the anode is reduced by more than 50%. Zinc anodes are available for 1/2" and 5/8" motor shafts. For 1/2" and 3/4" HP units, the shaft size is always 1/2". For the 1 HP units, some use 1/2" shafts and some use 5/8" shafts. So you need to measure the diameter of the rod to confirm which anode is needed. Warranty: No warranty is offered on this product as this is a product that is meant to deteriorate to elongate the life of the deicer in harsh conditions. In the diagram below, the anode is part B. The patented Solaer® solar powered aeration systems come (depending on the chosen options) complete with a high efficiency solar panel, charge controller, battery back-up for running during nighttime hours, EcoFlow™ energy efficient compressor, high volume cooling fans, programmable digital timer and an adjustable aluminum manifold housed in an attractive, sound deadening cabinet.
