SalmoAir® was originally designed for the salmon farm industry but it turns out that it works exceptionally well with other species as well, such as trout or seabass in either fresh or salt water farmed cages. Its non-harming design reduces scale damage and injuries, reducing wound infection and improving overall fish health. The special Yellow Thermoplastic NSF coating improves longevity of the frame while controlling biofouling. Smooth design makes light work for sea farmers who will appreciate how easy it is to clean encrustation of barnacles or mussels. The low operating costs will pay for the SalmoAir® diffusers within months. Operating ranges are from 10 – 30 cfm per unit.  They require very little maintenance, so operating costs will be reduced.  Other benefits are improved fish health, which translates into greater profits due to reduced fish stress. Furthermore, hypoxia is reduced with the aerating and upwelling capacity of SalmoAir®.

SalmoAir® come fully assembled and features its specialized, unique anti-fouling coating and corrosion resistance, which will ensure years of heavy usage in the ocean. This state-of-the-art upwelling system was developed by Canadian Pond.ca Products using its unique Bubble Tubing® technology, which holds the world’s leading standard oxygen transfer efficiency (SOTE).

  • A colder and richer-in-oxygen environment reduces fish stress and mortality.
  • Cooler water is heavier and often stratified under warm, lighter surface layer; the SalmoAir™  upweller system will uplift cooler water, which is often already richer in dissolved oxygen.
  • Operating costs considerably lower than competition.
  • Competitive purchase pricing coupled with durable lifespan and amortization.
  • Validated efficiency equals energy savings.
  • Easily retrofit/exchange existing inefficient upwellers with SalmoAir™.
  • Non-fouling, low maintenance, reliable, easily serviced above and below the water!
  • 3rd-party tested at C-CORE and Fisheries and Marine Institute (Memorial University, NL, Canada).
  • Product development done in actual salmon farms in real conditions for over a decade.
  • Positive feedback from fish farmers (deployment, maintenance and upwelling results).
  • Canadian design and manufacture available for world aquaculture.
  • Patent pending.

  • Full 2-year warranty.
  • Operates as low as 10 up to 30 cfm.  Can handle up to 100 cfm if needed.
  • Ships fully assembled, in protected wooden crates for ease of handling on farms.
  • 178 cm diameter (70 inches) frame (plume diameter varies with depth and air flow)
  • Third party upwelling lift rate data (C-Core Engineering + Marine Institute Newfoundland 2023 available upon request)
  • CFD (simulations) validated with field test (2023) available to assist with design, calculations and optimization
  • Optimization means savings and significantly reduced energy costs.
  • Oxygen transfer data available on BUBBLE TUBING® is among the best ratings in the industry at 3x more efficient than the competition.
  • Diffuser includes BUBBLE TUBING® ¾ inch I.D. The stainless steel frame is coated with a yellow NSF Thermoplastic.
  • 45 kg (100 lbs) model makes it easy to install without the need for extra weights.
  • Exclusive central hub with integrated check valve.
  • Anodes can be added to the frame as an option for additional corrosion resistance.
