For permanent applications and as a best practice, we always recommend installing these Busch compressors in one of our cabinets. These cabinets are safe, well ventilated, secure, and provide some noise reduction. Furthermore, the cabinets allow for the installation of our manifolds inside of the cabinet thus protecting both external elements of these systems. The compressor comes mostly pre-assembled. No electrical connection included. Please consult a qualified electrician for all electrical connections.

With a cabinet:

For installations with a cabinet, be sure that both the inlet vents (under the cabinet) and louvers are not blocked as fresh air is needed to keep the compressor from overheating. The cabinet can be placed directly on the ground or can be permanently attached to a concrete pad. The bottom feet of the cabinet have an insert which can be used to anchor the cabinet in place. The cabinet should be placed near the electrical panel which will provide power to the system. The adapter will already be connected to the compressor.

There are no electrical outlets included in the cabinet. Make sure an electrical connection is available for each fan of the cabinet to ensure proper ventilation of the compressor and avoid overheating. For the electrical connections, consult a qualified electrician. For ease of maintenance or increased ventilation, the lid and the walls of the cabinet can be removed to expose the compressor. Four (4) bolts at the bottom of the cabinet are to be removed to release the sides.

Without a cabinet:

For specific installations, a version without the cabinet is available. If a manifold is used, a manifold stand is a best practice.

Maintenance:

Check the compressor intake filter after the first 500 hours of operation. CanadianPond.ca Products Ltd. recommends checking the filter every month. Clean or replace as necessary. Failure to maintain a clean air filter will lead to premature failure and decreased performance of the compressor. Check oil regularly. For more information regarding the compressor, turn to the Busch compressor manual or contact Bush for maintenance services.

Security:

WARNING!
- Necessary precautions must be taken when handling electric components with moving parts.
- Consult a qualified electrician for electrical installation.
- Lock out and tag out the electrical source before handling and performing maintenance.
