  • Soilfloc® Set-L Logs

Soilfloc SET-L Logs are simple, they are designed to make dirty water clean. Water soluble logs designed to improve water quality by flocculating and settling suspended clay particles in run-off water. Benefits These easy-to-use logs "go with the flow"- Having many uses, they can be used anywhere flowing water is bringing sediment where you don't want it ! SET-L can be placed in ditches, hung over aerators, under balloons or dragged by a decoy, placed in fountains, or used for stormwater and mine tailings. If the water is moving, SET-L's removing ! Used at the ingress of watershed ponds and lakes, they SET-L the sediment prior to reaching your pond, reducing phosphorus and unwanted nutrients to keep your pond clear. 1 unit = 4 logs   Use one of our diffusers in combination with the logs for optimal results :  Canadian Air Systems (Click Here) Mini-Air (Click Here)  SAS (Click Here) Robust-Air (Click Here) Technical specifications Once submerged, the SET-L Log begins to very slowly dissolve. Polymer-laden water begins flocculating (binding together) and dropping the suspended clay particles and nutrients that make your pond or lake water look murky. These suspended clay particles also provide the footing on which algae blooms and bacteria grows; by removing this "footing" (dropping the solids), you reduce the likelihood of blooms.  One Soilfloc SET-L Log will last up to approximately 6 months in operation. One SET-L Log will treat between 400,000-450,000 gallons of water. Up to 1 million gallons for maintenance. Installation Make sure the log is fully submerge in the water column. Do not apply in wind or rain. Wear suitable eye protection and dust mask. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and if needed, seek medical advice. Do not inhale. Storage and handling directions: Keep in cool, dry area Keep out of direct sunlight Keep out of the reach of children Avoid contact with eyes or skin

  • Soilfloc® Pond Sealant

Keep your water where it belongs — in your pond ! SOILFLOC® Sealant is a convenient, polymer sealant for ponds, canals, etc. Non-toxic and safe for livestock water supplies, SOILFLOC® is truly a leap forward for pond-leak management. Benefits The two-part sealant combines with clay particles in your pond's water and from the pond's bottom to create a water-resistant polymer that plugs leaks.  SOILFLOC® Sealant is the most efficient polymer-based pond sealant available for your earthen canal, irrigation ditch or pond. When applied correctly to a pond containing silt and clay (the product won't work on rocky bottoms or bedrock), the polymer finds the leaks in the bottom of your pond or earthen body of water, settles in and expands over the course of two weeks, effectively sealing your pond and eliminating unwanted drainage and offering seepage control. Natural water flow in your pond helps the polymer to find leaks, whether they're in the floor, wall or through rock formations and seal them. SOILFLOC® is a custom blend of linear and cross-linked polymers to seal any type of soil, for nearly any sized project. From backyard ponds of 5 000 square feet or more up to miles of irrigation canals, SOILFLOC® is the most cost-effective solution for your water loss problems. Cost-effective Long lasting No need to drain water Locates leaks and seals Non-toxic, biodegradable Environmentally friendly Will not harm livestock Technical Specifications SOILFLOC® Sealant is a two-part product cast out by hand or applied with a hand-held crank spreader/applicator that is designer for applying fine powders and granules. If your ditch, pond or canal has water in it and is currently leaking, then now would be the best time to apply. The leak creates suction, drawing the polymers into the problem areas to seal the leaks. The product won't work on rocky bottoms or bedrock. Storage and handling directions: Keep in cool, dry area Keep out of direct sunlight Keep out of the reach of children Avoid contact with eyes or skin Application Preparation for application: Remove as much silt as possible as well as aquatic plants located near the suspected leak. Prevent livestock (cows, horses, etc.) from accessing the water for up to 72 hours after application. Soil Floc is safe for the aquatic life.  Mixing: For best results, it's important to properly mix the two bags (part A and part B) BEFORE application. Use a cement mixer if you have one, then mix the two parts well for 10 to 15 minutes, so that the product dispenses quickly and easily into your water body. Part A is applied first, followed immediately by Part B. The two parts can be mixed together 50/50 prior to application. Mixing the product in small batches is recommended for consistency and accurate dosing. For ponds smaller than 1/2 acre begin 10' away from the shore, broadcasting no more than 5' in front of you towards the shore, along the entire shoreline until you're 5-10' away from the next shore. Back up 5' and begin to reverse your direction, broadcasting 5' towards the shore to cover the gap. Work methodically going back and forth from one shoreline to the next until you can take the watercraft out of the water without going through the applied product. If you're treating a body of water greater than 1/2 acre, depending on the grade, you may start further away from the shore. Do not apply in wind or rain. Wear suitable eye protection and dust mask. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and if needed, seek medical advice. Do not inhale. *Application rates and methods can be found on the SOILFLOC® Sealant application instruction sheet. Do not under apply.
