Electromagnetic diaphragm pumps are often referred to as linear air pumps. Most people would recognize them as aquarium air pumps; they look like a toaster. They use an electromagnetic system that oscillates the diaphragm and creates a steady flow of air. They are simple but very durable and this is the quietest way to create air pressure. But silence brings limitations and they provide no more than 6-7 psi or 0.41-0.48 bar pressure for larger models and most operate at a maximum of 3-4 psi or 0.21-0.28 bar.

With the right type of air diffuser, they are ideal for shallow water gardens. We have sold many diaphragm pumps over the years and the most common comment that comes up is that people are drawn to their quiet operation. However, they can sometimes be wrong about the true depth of their water basins. Picking the wrong compressor can lead to its diaphragms wearing out faster and causing it to break constantly. Trust our salespeople to provide you with the right system.

Online sales are typically for people with basic knowledge of these compressors. Contact us if you have any doubts about which model to choose!

HP Series

The Hiblow HP Compressor Series is the company's flagship series. Over 12 million compressors sold worldwide make it a popular solution for users. They are durable and recognized in the market as a benchmark. Our service department is now certified to repair these units and can help you keep your Hiblow compressor for years to come.

We suggest using a Hiblow HP series compressor for ponds 6-8 feet deep, but do not encourage going past 10 feet deep.

We know pumps, boosters, compressors and we work with manufacturers to offer the best in the industry. At the moment, most small systems are often diaphragm or rocking piston compressors while medium and large systems use rotary nozzle or screw compressor models.
